Sprout delivers to addresses in Nanaimo, with delivery available to Parksville and Ladysmith for a small fee.
Cleanliness and safety are our top priorities. After each rental, all items undergo a thorough cleaning and sanitization process. We use industry-approved cleaning agents and follow strict protocols to ensure that every item is meticulously cleaned and ready for its next use. You can rest assured that the gear you receive from Sprout is not only high-quality but also hygienic and safe for your little one.
Here’s a look at our multi-step cleaning process:
Initial Inspection: Upon return, each item undergoes a meticulous visual inspection to assess its condition and to make sure that it meets the manufacturer (and our) specifications and standards. We look at all parts and pieces of equipment to ensure everything is as it should be. If an item doesn’t meet our high standards, it’s removed from inventory for repair or replacement.
Sorting and Laundering: Items are sorted based on their cleaning requirements. Fabric items such as crib sheets or swaddles are laundered using professional-grade detergents and techniques to ensure thorough cleanliness.
Vacuuming and steamcleaning: To remove any debris or dust particles, all items are subjected to a thorough vacuuming process. If appropriate, the item is also steamcleaned. We pay special attention to creases, crevices, or joints where dust, gunk, and crumbs can gather.
Disinfection and sanitization: After laundering, items are disinfected using eco-friendly, child-safe disinfectants. Each item then undergoes a comprehensive sanitization process, targeting high-touch areas and surfaces to further reduce the risk of contamination.
Safe Storage: Once cleaned and sanitized and dried, items are carefully covered and stored in our warehouse facility, safeguarding them until their next use.
Final Inspection: Before deployment for rental, a second visual inspection is conducted to ensure that each item meets our rigorous quality standards.

Once you’ve placed your order, our team will get to work to deliever your order as quickly as possible. In most cases, you can expect your delivery within 5-7 days (or on your requested delivery date).
We’re big believers in reducing waste caused by unnecessary packaging. Our small gear will be delivered in eco-friendly alternatives like plastic totes or 100% cotton bags. Larger items like strollers, furniture, or baby equipment may even be delivered without any packaging at all, cutting down on clutter for everyone!
In most cases, you’ll receive the same products in the same colours as are listed on our website. In some cases, we may need to swap out an item based on availability. Please make a note in your product order if you have colour preferences.
Whether you’re staying at a hotel, Airbnb, or vacation rental, we’ll deliver your gear directly to your accommodations. Simply provide us with the necessary details, and we’ll ensure that your items are waiting for you upon arrival.
We understand that normal wear and tear comes with the territory. That’s why our membership includes SproutSure for every rental, giving you added peace of mind. There is no charge for minor mishaps, for damage that’s repairable, or for parts valued at $30 or less. However, for higher-value items or if we suspect misuse, we reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the item’s retail value.
Paying for your Sprout rentals is simple and stress-free. When you place your order, we’ll ask for your details and authorize your card without charging it just yet. Within 48 hours, we’ll confirm the availability of your selected gear and process your payment. Once everything’s squared away, we’ll shoot you an email with all the details you need, so you can move on with your day.
We may require a security deposit for certain items, particularly those that are more sensitive or valuable, such as tech gear like monitors. This deposit acts as a safeguard against theft, loss, or extensive damage during the rental period. Rest assured, the deposit is fully refunded within 24 hours after the item is returned in acceptable condition. In the rare event of significant damage, a portion or all of the deposit may be used towards repair or replacement.
