Sprout Box Terms & Conditions

By subscribing to or renting a Sprout Box, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a safe and smooth experience for all customers and to protect the property of Sprout Baby Gear (“Sprout”).

1. Rental Agreement

All toys, books, and materials included in a Sprout Box are rented items and remain the property of Sprout Baby Gear at all times. Customers are granted temporary use of these items for the duration of their rental period. Items are not purchased and must be returned in full at the end of each monthly rental period when the next box is delivered.

2. Delivery & Pickup Schedule

Sprout Boxes are delivered and collected on the second Friday of each month. During delivery, Sprout will drop off your new box and collect the previous box at the same time. Customers must ensure that all items from the previous box are packed and ready for pickup by 9:00 AM on delivery day, unless otherwise arranged.

If an order is placed less than 7 days before the upcoming delivery date, the first delivery will take place on the following month’s delivery date.

Delivery and pickup are currently available within the Nanaimo service area only.

3. Care of Rental Items

Customers agree to treat all Sprout Box items with reasonable care. Normal wear from typical play is expected. However, customers may be responsible for the replacement cost of any items that are:

  • Lost

  • Stolen

  • Significantly damaged

  • Not returned

Replacement costs will be determined by Sprout based on the retail value of the item.

4. Cleaning of Items

Customers are not required to sanitize or disinfect items before return. Sprout performs professional cleaning and sanitization between each rental. However, customers agree to return items free of excessive dirt, food residue, liquids, or outdoor debris.

5. Missing Items

All items included in the box must be returned. If items are missing at pickup, Sprout may contact the customer to arrange their return. If items cannot be recovered, replacement charges may apply.

6. Late or Missed Pickup

If a box is not available for pickup on the scheduled date, Sprout may need to schedule an alternative pickup. Repeated missed pickups may result in additional fees or cancellation of the subscription.

7. Safety & Supervision

Sprout carefully selects age-appropriate toys and inspects all items between rentals. However, customers are responsible for supervising children while using any Sprout Box items.

Sprout Baby Gear is not responsible for injuries, misuse of toys, allergic reactions, or accidents that may occur during use. Customers should discontinue use of any item they believe may be damaged and notify Sprout immediately.

8. Subscription & Billing

Your Sprout Box may be charged as a one-time purchase or as a continuous subscription. One-time purchases are charged at the time of checkout. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. Customers may cancel their subscription at any time before their next renewal date.

9. Service Area

Sprout Box deliveries are limited to the Nanaimo service area. Customers must provide accurate delivery instructions, including gate codes or access information if required. Sprout is not responsible for missed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete instructions.

10. Changes to Terms

Sprout Baby Gear reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Continued use of the Sprout Box service constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

Sprout Box Terms & Conditions

By subscribing to Sprout Box, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth experience for you and protect Sprout Baby Gear (“Sprout”) and its property.

2. Rental Agreement

All items provided through Sprout Box are rented, not sold. Sprout retains full ownership of all toys, books, and materials included in each box.

You, the subscriber, are granted the right to use the items for personal, non-commercial purposes for the duration of your subscription term. At the end of your rental period, all items must be returned in full and in reasonable condition.

2. Rental Duration & Subscription

Sprout Box subscriptions are available in flexible terms, which may include one-month, three-month, six-month, or annual plans. By subscribing, you agree to commit to your selected term.

Your rental begins on the second Friday of the month, which is the designated delivery date. Sprout Boxes are delivered and picked up on this day each month.

If your subscription continues, a new box will be delivered and the previous one picked up on the same day (the second Friday of the following month). You must ensure that all items from the previous box are clean, repacked, and ready for pickup at the designated location by 9:00 AM on pickup day.

3. Delivery & Pickup

Sprout Box currently serves customers within the Nanaimo area. Delivery and pickup are included in your subscription and will occur on the second Friday of each month. If you purchase your Sprout Box subscription 7 days or less from the next delivery date, you’ll receive your first Sprout Box the following month.

You are responsible for providing accurate delivery instructions, including any access codes, gate instructions, or specific drop-off/pickup locations (e.g. “back porch” or “inside the side gate”).

Sprout is not liable for delays or missed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information.

4. Care & Use of Items

We ask that you treat Sprout Box items with care and supervise children during play. All items must be returned in clean and good condition, accounting for reasonable wear and tear.

Do not submerge electronic toys or wooden items in water. Cleaning instructions will be provided, and you agree to follow them to prevent damage.

If any items are significantly damaged, lost, or returned in a condition beyond reasonable wear, you may be charged a replacement fee.

5. Late or Missing Returns

Sprout Boxes must be returned on the scheduled pickup date. If your box is not available for pickup or items are missing, Sprout will reach out to coordinate an alternative return.

Repeated missed pickups or unreturned items may result in suspension of your subscription and/or additional charges.

6. Subscription Cancellations

Monthly subscribers may cancel at any time before the next billing cycle. Cancellations after the billing date will take effect the following month.

Multi-month or annual subscriptions are non-refundable but may be paused under certain circumstances. Contact us to discuss options.

7. Safety & Liability

Sprout carefully selects age-appropriate, developmentally supportive toys and inspects each item for damage and cleanliness. However, by subscribing, you acknowledge that:

  • You are solely responsible for supervising your child’s use of all items.

  • Sprout is not liable for injuries, allergic reactions, or accidents arising from the use or misuse of any items.

  • Sprout does not guarantee suitability for all children.

Please inspect your box upon delivery and notify us immediately of any concerns.

8. Changes to Terms

Sprout reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes in writing (via email or website notice).
